In January 2020, the fully accessible, luxury, 35 seat Cromarty Cinema opened its doors. As a community asset we want the cinema to be used as much as possible, so it will be available for private hires, parties, conferences and gaming nights as well as public screenings (see below for more info). Remember, this is YOUR cinema!
The Cromarty Cinema is opening in a carefully managed capacity over the next 12 weeks. Early stages will involve private rentals (for groups of up to 18), with systems in place which ensure that the cinematic experience fits the current situation. From 10th August, Friends of the Cinema, or consituted organisations will be able to rent the cinema. So look out your favourite DVDs or game console and bask in the comfort of a state-of-the-art cinema!
HIRE THE CINEMA
If you would like to hire the cinema please download a Booking Form in Word or PDF and Terms & Conditions. For enquiries about booking the cinema, you can also message [email protected]. Private hires are proving extremely popular! We'd like to pay tribute to our fantastic team of volunteers for giving their time and help in getting this going.

Please note, there is no food or drink available to purchase at the cinema. You are welcome to bring your own though no hot food is allowed. Please do take all your rubbish away with you at the end of the screening.
The cinema, like many Cromarty schemes, started off as a wine-fuelled dream, but has been made real through the incredible support of grant funders such as:
The Robertson Trust
Highlands and Islands Enterprise
The Foyle Foundation
Plus lots of individual sponsors of seats, stars and givers of plain old cash! To all of you, a resounding thanks.
